Curd Cake




Ingredients:
1 cup curd
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp soda
1 cup maida
5-6 drops any essence

Method:
1. First of all mix curd and sugar in a mixing bowl.
2. Then add sieved maida, baking powder and soda to it.
3. Add little milk if required.
4. While mixing all the things stir it in the form of 8 shape so as to avoid bubbles in the curd.
5. Add essence and again stir it.
6. Now for baking the cake take a pressure cooker and remove the whistle and gasket from it.
7. Grease the baking tin with ghee and little maida so as to avoid sticking of cake on to the sides and bottom.
8. Put the baking tin in the cooker for 10 minutes , close the lid and simmer the gas.
9. After 10 minutes pour either of the above prepared mixture in the baking tin and close the lid.
10. Let the cake bake on simmer gas for 30-35 minutes.
11. Check for the readiness of cake with the help of a knife.
12. If it comes out clean the cake is ready otherwise let it cook for more 5-10 minutes till it turns to light brown colour.
13. You can decorate the cake with the help of colored cream.
14. The cake is now ready to eat.
Note: If the curd is of many days and has turned sour you can add little milk cream (malai) to the curd.
