Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
1 can condensed milk (Amul Mithaimate)
120 ml butter (taken out from the beated milk cream)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla essence
150 ml water
250 gms maida
2 tbsp chocolate powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Method :
1. Sieve maida ,baking powder and soda together with the help of a mesh (chhanni)
2. Then mix all the above ingredients mentioned properly so as not to form any granules.
3. The mixture should seem smooth.
4. Now for baking the cake take a pressure cooker and remove the whistle and gasket from it.
5. Grease the baking tin with ghee and little maida so as to avoid sticking of cake on to the sides and bottom.
6. Put the baking tin in the cooker for 10 minutes ,close the lid and simmer the gas.
7. After 10 minutes pour the above prepared mixture in the baking tin and close the lid.
8. Let the cake bake on simmer gas for 30-35 minutes.
9. Check for the readiness of cake with the help of a knife.
10. If it comes out clean the cake is ready otherwise let it cook for more 5-10 minutes.
Chocolate sauce:
Ingredients:
1 cup milk powder
½ -1 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
Method:
1. Mix all the above ingredients in the bowl properly with the help of milk and maintain consistency.
2. Then in the frying pan take 1 tsp of ghee/butter and on heating of ghee pour in the mixture.
3. Continuously stir for 4-5 minutes for letting the sauce cook.
4. Till then cut the cake from middle into two halves and spread the chocolate sauce in between the halves and also cover the top and sides of cake with it.
5. Let it cool at room temperature.
6. You can decorate the cake with the help of colored cream.
7. The cake is now ready to eat.
Note: Spread the chocolate sauce when hot as once it cools it won’t remain spreadable.
